Regenerative Economy - Fundamentals and Leadership

ECTS: 6,0 Credits

Duration: 6 days (block seminar)

Goals:
The fundamental principles and benefits of sustainability, circular and regenerative economy within a business context.
Strategies for resource efficiency and life cycle thinking to reduce environmental impact.
Leadership skills to champion and navigate the transition towards a regenerative business model.
Solutions that achieve both economic prosperity and social equity within the regenerative economy framework.

Program:
Sustainability: Ambition, goals, benefits, performance indicators, evaluation and reporting of measures to optimize environmental and social performance as well as the economic efficiency and value development of sustainable operations.
Regenerative economy: From extending the life of products and materials by minimizing waste and maximizing resource utilization towards restoring and regenerating natural systems and social well-being by symbiotic relationships and cooperative, inclusive behavior.
Skills for sustainable development: emotional and social skills that contribute to greater understanding and cooperation.

Methods:
Interactive lecture, group work, case study analysis, hands-on workshop, group brainstorming and co-creation sessions

Requirements:
Willingness to actively participate in the entire seminar.

Attendance for this event is compulsory in accordance with § 12 Abs. 2b of the General Examination Regulations for the Bachelor and Master courses at Bochum University of Applied Sciences (Rahmenprüfungsordnung).
